Pusan National University

Pusan National University is an excellent university located in Pusan, South Korea. It was established in 1946 as a national university in Korea. Think of national university as state universities in USA, and the purpose of a state university is to educate a large number of students in the area. Pusan National University was founded with the same purpose which is to educate a large number of students in Pusan area. 

This university has total of 17,000 undergraduate students and 10,000 graduate students taught by excellent professors. Although Pusan National University is a big institution now, it had a humble beginning like most universities. It only had two faculties: Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Fisheries. However, it has grown substantially and not has 15 colleges, one graduate school, and 9 special and professional graduate schools.

Pusan National University Tuition

Attending Pusan National University is affordable to international students. The tuition for undergraduate students is $4,500 per year, and for graduate students, it is $6,300 per year. These tuition fees can be reduced by generous scholarships offered by the university. 

Pusan National University Scholarships

There are many scholarships offered at the university to international students based on merit and need-based. Some of those scholarships cover tuition, dormitory, and stipend, while some provide full or partial tuition. Merit scholarships are based on academic achievements such as entrance test scores, English proficiency exams such as TOEFL or IELTS, and GPA. Need-based scholarships are awarded based on the financial circumstances of the applicants.

Housing

A dormitory at each campus (Daeyeon Campus and Yongdang Camus) of the University provides you with an opportunity to live in a comfortable, secure and well-managed environment at a resonable price. The facility in Yongdang Campus "Gwang Gae To Gwan" opened its doors in 2006, "Sejong 1 Gwan" at Daeyeon campus is multi-story building built in the winter of 2008 and “Sejong 2 Gwan“ dormitory opened at 2016.
