Intensive English Course

The importance of learning English has clearly become evident in our increasingly globalized world. The general English course at Awesome is designed to give students the self confidence to communicate efficiently in real life situations. IELTS Preparation

What will I learn in class?

Our IELTS classes are conducted by highly qualified English teachers with years of experience in teaching the four components of the IELTS test.

Anyone thinking about taking an English language test, will find this course particularly useful, but all English language learners will benefit from the tips and advice given in the course.The course focuses on the IELTS test (International English Language Testing System).

By the end of the Understanding IELTS course, you will:

• be familiar with all parts of the IELTS test
• have some useful tips to help you achieve your IELTS goals
• understand how the IELTS test is assessed
• have an opportunity to have your written and spoken English assessed by other learners

IELTS Examination

The IELTS test assesses your abilities in listening, reading, writing and speaking – in less than three hours.

There are two types of the IELTS test:  IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. Listening and Speaking are the same for both tests, but the subject matter of the Reading and Writing components differs depending on which test you take.

The Listening, Reading and Writing components of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day, with no breaks in between them.

The Speaking component, however, can be completed up to a week before or after the other tests. Your test centre will advise.

The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes

IELTS Crash Course

What is IELTS crash course?

IELTS crash course is a quick and efficient IELTS package. It includes 2 weeks of intensive IELTS preparation followed by the IELTS examination. The course consists of intensive lessons focusing on the core of language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking elements considered in the IELTS test. Students will be introduced to the necessary skills and techniques often used in IELTS examinations. This course will fully prepare students for their IELTS test which will be held in Awesome English Center as well.

Who is this course suitable for?

University applicants for postgraduate studies and students who already have a good English background.

Holiday Courses

If you wanted to enjoy the Tropical weather of Southeast Asia and spend your time relaxing during summer while still doing something useful, this course is right for you. Don’t waste more time looking around, since Awesome provides you the most complete package of education and tourism all together.

Objectives and Aims of Awesome Holiday Courses (AHC)

-Students are prepared and trained daily for 4 hours from Monday to Friday and for the rest of time touring Kuala-Lumpur until the weekend, where they travel to domestic tourist spots. Hence making the student apply what he/she learned during the course.

– Families and friends can have a safe environment for their siblings to learn while enjoying the tropical scene.
-Give students a good chance to experiment how it is to study in Malaysia long term.

Awesome Holiday Courses are made of 2 Major sections:

Educational:

A basic course that focuses on the main aspects of business and relationships. Covering man y different aspects ranging from sales to negotiation. Awesome has tailored its own set of business principles that we find crucial in Business.

Meetings and starting business:

• To discuss the importance and drawbacks of small talk at meetings.
• To teach some useful phrases for small talk.
• To teach some useful phrases for starting a meeting.

Breaking the ice

English for Kids - Kids Class

A creative course designed to engrave English Language into the young generation’s mind. Awesome trainers have noticed through years of experience that kids between the ages of 6 and 12 years are in need of special care and teaching methods. Whether you are a whole family and want to enroll as one or you are going for a trip and want to have your children learning English while you’re out, Awesome Angles program is the perfect course for you and your family.

This course is suitable for children between 6 and 12 years old. Made specifically to introduce new concepts from the English language into the children’s mind while keeping their way of thinking and enhancing the creative side of them to create and use the words they know in new sentences.

Most Lessons are done as activities where the student is involved in participating and thinks freely out of the box. Children might be very active and some might be less but as a parent no need to worry  both types of children will be fully involved in the classroom.

Private Class

Which is better for improving your language skills level – private English lessons or a group class? Is one-to-one English tuition quicker for language acquisition?

Of course, every student is different, so it’s impossible to say with 100% certainty that 1-2-1 is better than a class with other students. However, having said that, there are some general conclusions that can be drawn based on the experience of many students who have studied English in Malaysia with us over the years.

A definite advantage of English lessons with a private tutor is that your lessons will be tailor-made specifically for you. At Awesome English Center, before a student begins 1-2-1 tuition, our Vice Principal of Studies always carries out a ‘needs analysis’.  In order to obtain a student Visa from Awesome you must meet the following criteria:

• Your age must be between 18 and 35 years.
• Have the financial capability to meet the course fees and other expenses related to living.
• Be in good health and of good character
• Intend to reside in Malaysia for education purposes only.

Awesome English Center’s student accommodation: Awesome’s students accommodation is a unit design where students share the same living room to interact with students from different nationalities as well as a shared kitchen. Students have their own personal rooms for their own privacy. Fully serviced accommodation with cleaning and maintenance services.

Family accommodation: Awesome provides fully private units for families requesting to stay together, units range from: Studio unit, 2 Bedroom Units or 3 Bedrooms Unit.
