BBS was born 20 years ago, through the initiative of four Departments: Management, Communication Science, Computer Science, and the Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering). After 20 years of growth (activities started in 2001), in 2021 BBS has received the EQUIS Accreditation.

Howest University of Applied Sciences is known for its innovative and interdisciplinary approach to education and research. Howest is renowned for its Tech-programmes, such as Digital Design and Development, Digital Arts and Entertainment and Cybersecurity.
