Italian schools

The secondary Italian general education system contains three levels:

At the end of each academic year, students pass exams that are assessed as "passed or not passed." When the student ends secondary school, he passes examinations in arithmetic and a foreign language in writing, and in other subjects - orally.

Having received the certificate cf. schools, applicants will be able to go to various educational institutions, consisting in the system of higher secondary school. These are professional educational institutions (technical institutes, prof. Technical schools, art schools) and lyceums. They study there from 14 to 19 years.

Preparation for admission to Italian universities

The preparatory process is carried out in lyceums and has the following types:

• Technical
• Natural sciences

The educational system of lyceums includes Italian literature, Latin, mathematics, physics, science, philosophy and history. Pupils pass exams similar to exams at the BAC in France, after which they are issued certificates of readiness, allowing them to go to college.

For the entire period of study in an Italian university, students need to master up to twenty disciplines. Attending a lecture in an Italian educational institution is necessary for students, and they even record the days of lecture attendance in personal records. When a student graduates, he needs to defend his diploma. The main share of the defense assessment is the arithmetic average of the results of all exams passed by the student.
