Avicenna International College

Avicenna International College (AIC) started its activities in 1995 by providing short courses for the medical students studying in Budapest at Semmelweis University. Later a complete one-year pre-university program was designed for those who planned to complete their studies in any medically related filed in Hungary. This course was named “Avicenna Medical Foundation Program” or AMFP. Today, those students who complete AMFP with good scores are admitted to many European universities with medical programs in English, including in Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lituania, Latvia, UK, Serbia, and Russia among other countries.

Other foundation programs were added to the academic courses of AIC, namely Business Foundation Program (BFP), English Foundation Program (EFP), German Foundation Program (GFP), and preparatory programs for IELTS and BMAT examinations.

AIC will provide the IFY qualifications of NCUK during the 2020-2021 academic year in a blended format. Those who complete this qualification successfully will be able to secure admission to one of the NCUK partner universities.

Avicenna International College, employing its own Avicenna-minded approach and style, offers degree and non-degree courses while advising students and taking them across its “bridge” concept.

AIC has also developed International High School Programs and has been accredited by the Hungarian Education Authority (OH) as a bi-lingual high school. Students can earn a Hungarian bi-lingual high school diploma called Erretsegi. This diploma is valid in the whole EU as a European degree. Our students command English at a native speaker level and learn Hungarian and German at the same time. AIC high school graduates can continue their studies in any Hungarian university in Hungarian or English.

Students can also earn their IGCSE and A-Level diploma. AIC is a recognized PEARSON and EDEXCEL center.

Programs:

• Medical Foundation Program (MFP)

MFP is designed for those students who wish to continue their studies at one of Europe’s medical universities.

• Business Foundation Program (BFP)

BFP is intended for those who want to continue their studies in one of the business fields.

• Technical Foundation Program (TFP)

TFP is offered for those students who wish to study in one of the technical fields during their university studies.

• English Foundation Program (EFP)

EFP is an intensive language education program which ensures that students reach a high level of knowledge. Those who complete this program can successfully pass the IELTS examination.

• Pre-PhD Program

This program is designed for those who already have a master's degree and wish to further educate themselves. This program is suitable for those who have a Bachelor degree and would like to complete a Master program as well.
