Our Early Learning Centre and Elementary Section follow the International Primary Curriculum(IPC)   while our Grade 6 and 7 students pursue the  International Middle Years Curriculum(IMYC).

The ISB is also a STEM School, having been the first International School in Germany to have been awarded 'MINT-EC Partner School status by MINT-ECd das nationale Excellence-Schulnetzwerk.

New Boarding Facility at ISB 

The aim in creating the new ISB Boarding facility is to provide a world-class residency for 23-46 students, with all single room accommodation

The contemporary design and layout of the new facility is on one floor with high levels of natural light and ventilation. There is secure bike storage, multiple social areas, kitchenettes, lounges and study facilities in the room, with easy travel to the City and all major transport centres.

The boarding facilities are situated in a purpose built multi million Euro building purpose built for university accommodation, boarding facilities will be for students aged 14+ who want to study for the IBDP here in Bremen.

Our outstanding residency is located near to the school, 10 minutes walk away with modern furnished bedrooms, social areas, washing facilities and during the week food is supplied by the school's on site cafeteria with fresh organically produced and meals prepared on site daily. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside, only minutes from the cultural, historic and dynamic attractions of Bremen City Center, and on the doorstep of Bremen airport and central railway station providing links into Europe and the world beyond.

        For over 20 years the International School of Bremen has been known for its growing and diverse community of students, teachers, parents and many more. The school does not only provide the students with the opportunity of excellent education, but also with the possibility of never ending friendship, in an open international spirit, with the possibility to achieve greatness. To be able to stay a part of this community even after leaving the school, we welcome you to join our Alumni Association. Whether you have been with us for a year or for half of your life time, you will always be a part of the ISB family.The Alumni Association will let you stay up to date with events happening at the ISB but also let you stay in touch with friends, fellow students or your former teachers. The community gets together at least once a year, inviting all its members to join in. This is a possibility for us, as the board of the Alumni Association, to share news regarding the community and the school, but also for everybody to get back together and talk.

The school environment beyond the classroom is a critical part of student development and an important component of becoming well-rounded members of society.

We strive to provide our students with the proper balance of academics and creative and athletic expression so they can be successful, both in and outside of the classroom. At ISB we ensure that we offer engaging extra-curricular activities to our students that offer leadership opportunities, involvement in the local community, physical fitness, and creative outlets. In addition to what we offer inside the school campus, as an IB school we know that we fail our students if we don't offer them opportunities to experience the world around them. Our students participate in many field trips that take them all over the globe and enrich their cultural understanding as only travel can.
