The University of Kyrenia

The University of Kyrenia was founded in 2013 in the city of Kyrenia. The university is fully focused on training in the fields of aviation and maritime affairs. The main task of the university is to become a leader in higher education in its specialization.

The University of Kyrenia has an equipped and developed infrastructure that allows it to provide a high quality education and occupy the position of a leading educational institution that provides a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.

The university is part of the Near East University, the largest university in North Cyprus. As a result, all of the educational experience and training programs of the University of Kyrenia are based on the years of experience gained in the Faculty of Marine Sciences of the Middle East University.

International recognition and educational standards

The University provides all the necessary international standards and requirements for aviation and maritime study programs, having accreditation from authorized international institutions and organizations.

The programs of the Faculty of Maritime Science are developed according to the standards of the International Maritime Organization and the International Convention on Training Standards for Maritime Business. To this end, the university employs the most qualified teachers in their fields, with the necessary experience to teach maritime affairs. To ensure the quality of education, all faculties are equipped with the latest technology.

The need for qualified personnel trained to work in civil aviation has increased with the rapid growth and development of the sector. The potential and job opportunities in this industry are also growing rapidly. Leading organizations in the aviation industry estimate the need for pilots, aircraft design and construction engineers, technical and passenger service personnel, and civil aviation management and logistics professionals to increase by more than a million over the next 20 years.

Aviation and space science programs aim to meet these needs at the national and international levels. All programs at the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences are taught in English in accordance with the requirements of the aviation industry.

The Piloting Department of the University of Kyrenia offers high quality programs and provides students with the necessary knowledge and piloting practice that enables them to obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Civil Aviation Pilot License.

In addition to the high quality of education, the University of Kyrenia provides students with a variety of job opportunities. After graduation, students will be supported to find work as qualified personnel in aviation and aerospace companies.
