Salem Academy is a boarding and day school exclusive to girls grades 9-12. Our rigorous college preparatory curriculum, individualized support, and nurturing community, leads to life-long success.Since 1772, Salem Academy has provided girls in grades 9-12 an outstanding college preparatory education. Our beautiful grounds are adjacent to Salem College, and many of our seniors take classes at the College during their senior year. We share a beautiful Fine Arts Center and state-of-the-art Athletic Complex with the College; we also offer dual enrollment classes on our own campus so that students may receive college credit from teachers in their own academic community. As you can guess, we do not succumb to the boundaries of a traditional independent school.

Summer camps are one of the many ways Salem students engage with the local community.

ALL-GIRLS CAMPS: Steam  AND ROBOTICS & CODING

After many discussions, and based on the progression of COVID-19, Salem Academy has made the decision not to proceed with the 2022 STEAM & Robotics Camps.  We are aware that this information is not what our families desired to hear, but, at this time, the safety of our campers needs to remain our priority. Thank you for your understanding. Please take good care and be safe.

Traditionally, Salem students work as counselors, serving alongside their Academy teachers. The campers, K-8 girls from the local community, explore the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in creative, age-appropriate activities.

Steam Camp inspires girls in grades K-5 with hands-on activities, such as:

  • Electric Circuits
  • Photography
  • Print Making
  • Data Collection
  • Lego Building Challenges
  • Math & Mysteries
  • Story Science, & more

The Robotics and Coding Camp introduces girls in grades 6-8 to the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Program.
