Bauman Moscow State Technical University

Bauman Moscow State Technical University (full name Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Bauman Moscow State Technical University", also known as Baumanka, Baumansky, MSTU, MVTU) is a Russian national research university, a scientific center, a particularly valuable object of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation. The first technical university in Russia.

The previous name of the university "Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School" was given to it in honor of the revolutionary Nikolai Ernestovich Bauman, who was killed in 1905 near the main building at that time-the Imperial Moscow Technical School.

The university is actively involved in the Bologna process. In 2008, he received the European Quality Award "for striving to achieve high quality educational services in accordance with international standards". For more than 10 years, Bauman Moscow State Technical University has been the parent university of the Association of Technical Universities, which includes more than 130 Russian universities. MSTU is the first Russian university to become a member of the association "Top Industrial Managers for Europe".

For his contribution to the development of science and technology, to the education of engineering personnel of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, he was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution and the Red Banner of Labor. By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 64 of January 24, 1995, MSTU is included in the State Code of Especially Valuable Objects of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
