Altai State University

Altai State University (AltSU) is a higher educational institution, a classical university in the Altai Territory of the Russian Federation , Barnaul. It was founded as a classical university in 1973. Conducts educational, scientific, cultural and educational activities. It is located in Barnaul with branches in the cities and villages of the region. In April 2017, it became one of the regional reference universities. In December 2017, the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation recognized the university center for innovative, technological and social development.

The university provides training in 84 specialties and directions, 57 master's programs. Admission to postgraduate studies is carried out in 58 specialties and to doctoral studies in 20 specialties in the field of physical and mathematical, chemical, biological, technical, historical, economic, philosophical, philological, legal, pedagogical, psychological, sociological, political sciences, art history and earth sciences.

Altai State University is a large scientific complex, which includes 3 research institutes, problem laboratories, including joint ones with the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, research centers, a techno park, and a research sector. In recent years, the university has developed new technologies for aerospace sensing of the earth's surface, obtained 7 patents for highly efficient technologies for processing waste of annually renewable raw materials, created monitoring landfills on the lands of agro-forestry enterprises of the Altai Territory, completed and carried out major work in the field of information technologies and modern educational technologies.
