Improve and develop your language skills at UAL Language Centre

English Courses

• If you do not have an offer to study at UAL but you want to study English in a creative setting, their English courses could be right for you.
• If you have an offer to study at UAL and need to improve your English before you start, you need their Pre-sessional English Courses. Their Pre-sessional and EPIC courses are BALEAP accredited.

Modern language Courses

• If you are a current student or staff member at UAL you can book to study a modern language.
• Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin or Spanish classes are taught termly in the evening.

English Language Development

• If you are a UAL student and a speaker of English as an additional language, you can receive English development support while you study. The support includes: English tutorials, help with academic skills and English progress tests.

Accommodation

Halls of residence are available to all students who have been offered a place on a course at UAL.

Students should pick their top 5 halls of residence when applying. They will try to place you in one of your top 5 halls, but they cannot guarantee this will be possible. Please make sure you send in your application early to avoid disappointment.

Applications from international students, disabled students and those under the age of 18 will be prioritized.

Foundation year students work on a different timetable to most other courses but they are still encouraged to book a place in halls.
