Cambridge Melchior College (CMC) intends to provide an exceptional education to students aged 14-18. As an independent, co-educational school, they offer outstanding education to international pupils of secondary school age, as well as short term English courses, Summer Camps and bespoke programs. Students who attend CMC follow a broad curriculum based on the English National Curriculum. Programs:

GCSE

GCSE is intermediate, academically rigorous, internationally used, and specialized English language curriculum which is offered to students to prepare them for advanced level study, for example, A level or the International Baccalaureate. It is based on the GCE O-Level and is recognized as being equivalent to the GCSE. The IGCSE is based on individual subjects of study, which means that students receive an "IGCSE" qualification for each subject they take. This program prepares students for IGCSE.

They offer a wide range of IGCSE subjects in three academic disciplines: Humanities, Sciences and the Arts.

A-Levels

A levels are more formally known as the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level. A levels are:

• A school leaving certificate offered by examination boards in the UK
• Generally worked towards over two years
• Are usually taken after successful completion of a previous level of course, such as GCSEs
• Are usually taken by students over the age of 16

Students select three-four subjects that really interest them and facilitate progression. You will spend approximately 24 hours per week in class.

They offer a wide range of A level subjects:

Art, Chemistry, English, Literature History of Art, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Economics, Government and Politics, Philosophy Geography, Accounting, Business Studies, English Language, History, Law Psychology, Sociology.

Fast Track International Foundation Program

Cambridge Melchior College and Cambridge International Education Centre are launching a new fast track level 3 diploma programs in law and a new fast track level 3 diploma programs in business. These programs provide a highly effective preparation for a wide range of business and law degree programs.

Pre-masters Business and Management

This program prepares students for postgraduate studies in a wide range of business, economics and management subjects. CMC has sent its students to master’s studies in many universities throughout the UK, many of which are highly ranked.

They work in partnership with Cambridge International Education Centre (CIEC) to deliver this program. They specialize in Business, Management and English education, with key personnel having globally recognized academic and publishing profiles. CIEC partners with universities worldwide in the joint delivery and accreditation of courses and CIEC has centers in a growing number of cities and countries.

Accommodation:

Students have the option to live on campus, in shared rooms with en-suite bathrooms or to stay with their carefully selected and screened host families.

The rooms at the Willingham House campus refurbished, homely, calm and welcoming with windows overlooking the garden and offer a great place to rejuvenate after a day full of learning.

Host families are keen to welcome students into their homes. It’s a wonderful way to gain insight into British traditions, culture and an outstanding opportunity to pick up expressions with greater ease, improve vocabulary, get familiar with pronunciations and return home with a more fluent authentic accent.

Accreditation

• Cambridge Melchior College’s UK campus is accredited by Accreditation Service (ASIC). This allows them to admit students on academic programs of 6 months duration and English language programs of 11 mouths durations
• They are licensed to offer entry level, level 2 & level 3 ESOL certificated programs, these equate to CEFR A1, B2, C1, C2 levels
• They are accredited by QISAN who work to insure positive education experience for international students and promote the ethical conduct of its members
• They are licensed to offer Trinity College London Graded Examinations in spoken English (GESE) and Trinity College London Integrated skills in English (ISE)
• UCAS is the UK’s admissions service for applications to universities. As a member, their experienced team can support students who wish to apply to any British university.
