History of creation

International Educational Corporation LLP (hereinafter – IЕC) was established on January 18, 2007, on the basis of the Kazakh leading architecture and civil engineering academy (hereinafter - KAZGASA) and the Kazakh-American University (hereinafter - KAU) as a single educational, scientific, and production complex combining educational, scientific, production and other divisions. The IЕC has an organizational and legal structure with a corporate form of management based on ensuring the functional integrity and manageability of the educational process according to a multi-level system.

KazGASA is a member of the International Geotechnical Association (ISSMGE). The main focus is to exchange ideas, research results, practical experience, as well as to create a common information space among scientists and specialists of Russia and Kazakhstan, near and far abroad countries in the field of construction of bases and foundations of large-scale and unique objects, geotechnical problems of oil and gas and mining industry facilities construction, hydraulic structures.

The Central Asian Association of Architectural and Construction Specialties (CAAACS) has been established under the auspices of the Academy, bringing together higher education institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and other countries. The main aim of the Association is to integrate the education systems of the architectural and construction sector, ensure the development of science, engineer meets and technology, and train personnel to international standards.
KazGASA continues active cooperation with foreign universities in the UK, USA, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, Egypt, Russia, Ukraine, etc.
KAU was accepted in 1997. In December 2005, KAU was admitted to the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), whose members are more than 1,100 universities and colleges.

The activities of the IЕC Academic Council are based on the publicity of collective discussion of issues within its competence.

The competence of the Academic Council includes the definition of the corporation's development concept, approval of the IЕC structure; creation, reorganization and liquidation of educational and scientific departments; decision-making on all fundamental issues of the organization of educational, research and economic activities of the IЕC; hearing annual reports of vice-rectors, registrar, heads of structural units on the forms and methods of conducting educational, research, educational, financial, economic, informational and international activities; consideration and recommendation for the publication of textbooks, manuals and educational and methodological developments for referral to the EMA REMC of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan; approval of topics and scientific supervisors / consultants of undergraduates and doctoral students on dissertation research; organization of control of financial and economic activities; determination of the procedure for using extra-budgetary funds, as well as directions for reinvesting income received by the corporation through the provision of paid educational services and the sale of manufactured products; approval and award of honorary titles, nominal scholarships and awards; consideration of issues on the representation of employees of the corporation, creative teams for government awards and honorary titles; consideration of other issues of the current activities of the corporation that require a collegial solution.

SCHOLARSHIPS

A scholarship that gives a chance to win a discount on tuition for the most gifted children with high academic performance

ABOUT THE "SCHOLARSHIPS"

1. A special scholarship is awarded to the most gifted students of the IOC who study on a fee-based basis, but due to various circumstances (marital status, health status, financial problems, etc.) who are unable to pay for their studies.

2. A special scholarship means a 100% or 50% discount on tuition, which can be claimed by full-time students who do not have retakes based on

the results of the last examination session (including the practice examination session):

- full-time students of all undergraduate courses.

3. A special scholarship is awarded to full-time students for one academic semester.

4. Along with citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a special scholarship is awarded to persons of Kazakh nationality

who are citizens of other states, foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Other foreign citizens and stateless persons are granted scholarships on an exceptional basis (with active participation in the public life of the corporation, etc.).

5. It is allowed to provide

students with a special scholarship in a row, but no more than 2 times.

6. A mandatory and necessary condition for the award of a special scholarship are:

1) excellent academic performance according to the results of the last examination session (grades not lower than "A-");

2) participation in educational and research activities (presentation of reports at conferences, preparation of publications, etc.) and public life of the corporation;

3) promoting the achievements of the university and maintaining the high image of the educational organization;

4) a well-deserved authority in the student, teaching environment.

7. Students from small groups, a special scholarship is awarded only in exceptional cases (based on the decision of the competition commission).
