Accommodation

They appreciate the importance of living in comfortable and safe accommodation during your time at IFG and will help you to arrange this before you arrive.

Most of the students live in student halls of residence. We can provide you with detailed information about a number of providers chosen for their proximity to the College. They provide a choice of self-contained studios and single en-suite rooms where you share the kitchen and sitting room with about five or six other students. Prices are in the range of £200 to £250 per week. There are also studio flats which cost a little more. The cost includes all utilities so you won’t have to pay extra for internet access, heating and so on.

The standard of accommodation is good with clean, comfortable and modern rooms and furnishings. The accommodation is also very secure. Try to book your place as quickly as possible. Rooms get taken quite quickly and the longer you leave it, the smaller your choice.

One alternative to student halls is homestay accommodation where you live with a family. Usually, the family will provide your breakfast and evening meal and do your washing. The cost, to include breakfast and evening meal, is about £225 to £250 per week. We will also help you to arrange this but you must be prepared to respect family routines and fit in. A lot of students make long-lasting friendships with their host families and it’s also a great way to improve your English.
