Our founder, Aaron Etingen, began with a dream and his vision is being realised to leverage technologies to create a positive disruption in the education sphere. His oversight leads a multi-disciplinary team of experienced, enterprising leaders in business, academia, and technology. His ongoing mission for the company is to be a growth stimulator within the education space, and one which is able to take advantage of the many opportunities presented by a dynamic and rapidly shifting world.

With multiple institutions comprising a worldwide network, we have extensive experience delivering global education services, while always maintaining the highest standards of the student experience. With a vast portfolio of programmes, we continue to exemplify our position as leaders in higher education.

Aaron Etingen founded Global University Systems through the formation of London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) in 2003 with four students. He has grown the business organically and through acquisitions to a communal network of 28 institutions and 87,000 students.

From the outset, Aaron had a vision for the future of education. The business embraced an opportunity which was beginning to emerge for specific types of learning. It launched a new product to address institutions’ need to digitise their offerings and move them online. In 2007 FBT was acquired and both InteractivePro and The Language Gallery were launched.

Aaron foresaw potential students not just beyond the UK, but anywhere in the world. With the acquisition of the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) and St Patrick’s, a 200-year-old college based in the heart of London with a focus on business and health, increased opportunities for international students and in more specialised disciplines were realised.

During 2014-2016, three fully accredited universities joined the network, starting in 2014 with University Canada West, which has its home in the award-winning Vancouver House and boasts 100% employability by its MBA graduates (Academica Group 2020). The University of Law, a world-renowned university and the leading provider of professional legal training in the UK, named best university in England in the National Student Survey 2020, was added to the network in 2015. Both universities are rated 5 Stars in the QS Top Universities rankings. In 2016, Arden University, a leader in digital and blended learning across a wide range of disciplines and named the EducationInvestor ‘Business Education of the Year’ in 2020 also joined the group.

Since then, several other complementary institutions have been welcomed to the network to expand our geographic reach and diversify our course offering. These include, amongst others, University of Europe for Applies Sciences, based in Germany and ranked top-10 by U-Multirank for business education, in 2018, an affiliation with institutions in India in 2019, and the R3 Group, comprising Saba University School of Medicine, Medical University of the Americas, and St Matthew’s University in 2020.
