Bartin State University was founded on May 22, 2008. This university is located in Barten County (Black Sea Region). Neighboring provinces include Zonguldak in the west, Karabuk in the south, Kastamonu in the east, and the Black Sea in the north.

The classrooms of the university are equipped with projectors and computers. The university has an internet cafe, a swimming pool, a football and basketball field, round-the-clock internet (wifi), a laboratory, and lounges. The university has a KYK dormitory. Admission is carried out by the YOS exam and judging by the marks in the diploma.

A prerequisite: if you do not know the Turkish language, you will need to learn it. TOMER courses are taught at levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1. If a student learns Turkish quickly, they can start their studies in baccalaureate more quickly.
