Anglo-Continental has offered English language courses for 72 years to 400,000 students from 120 different nationalities.

Anglo-Continental has one of the largest English language school campuses in the UK.  Anglo-Continental is a family run organisation and we pride ourselves on our friendly personal service and efficient administration. A choice of courses is offered for everyone – from young students to senior citizens, complete beginners to advanced examination candidates, school and university students to business executives and professionals. We even teach teachers of English!

Our English language courses are taught by teachers who have a recognised English language teaching qualification i.e. CELTA, Trinity College TESOL Certificate or equivalent.  Teachers are also expected to have a degree level qualification. 

Within our established long-term team, a number of teachers have Masters level qualifications, others have qualified teacher status (QTS) and some have specialist subject qualifications. Many of these teachers have positions of responsibility according to their areas of expertise.

STUDENT SERVICES STAFF

Our Student Services staff are here to help you during your stay and advise you on many aspects of life in England. They will help you with everything from arranging excursions, sports and leisure activities to booking coach tickets and revalidating flight tickets.

All homestay accommodation registered with Anglo-Continental is checked at regular intervals to ensure that it remains at a high standard.

At Anglo-Continental, our primary concern is that the student’s homestay in Bournemouth is a happy experience. Hosting a student is an extremely rewarding experience for everyone in the family. New and existing Anglo-Continental homestay families can login to our Homestay website which includes information about the school and our current rates. 

Anglo-Continental has one of the largest English language school campus in the United Kingdom. The campus is within easy walking distance of Bournemouth’s town centre and beaches.  Anglo-Continental offers outstanding facilities for study and relaxation. Modern teaching and facilities including:

• Classrooms with interactive whiteboards
• Multi-Media Learning Centre with internet access (private study facilities and language-learning software for every level)
• 2 lecture rooms equipped with DVD/video and computer projection equipment
• Language labaratory with a seating capacity for 16 students (accessible by wheelchair)

• Modern, spacious Student Centre with sun terrace and award-winning gardens.  Anglo-Continental’s catering services have a food hygiene rating of 5 (very good).

OUR TEACHERS

Having a recognised diploma-level qualification in teaching English to speakers of other languages is a requirement for our year-round teachers.  In addition to this, they will also have extensive teaching experience in a variety of professional areas.  It is a minimum requirement that teachers have a recognised English language teaching qualification i.e Cambridge CELTA, Trinity College TESOL Certificate or equivalent.  Teachers are also expected to have a degree level qualification.
