EF Academy enrolls eager, curious and motivated students from all corners of the world. Our admissions process is holistic, inclusive and personalized. While school grades matter, we also evaluate each student's interests, goals and aspirations and consider how they could make a positive impact at our modern, international high school.

Admission prerequisites

We look for open-minded students who are committed to excelling academically, excited to explore their new surroundings and prepared to broaden their horizons abroad. Our application process considers more than just grades and we have some prerequisites to ensure your success at EF Academy.

Academics

We expect students to have completed grade requirements that correspond to their age in their home country prior to the start of their program at EF Academy, so they are fully prepared to progress in their studies.

English level

English is the academic language used in nall of our programs. While we don't expect total fluency, we do expect students to demonstrate the following English proficiency per program:

-US High shool diploma: IELTS 4.5 or 41/100 on the EFSET

-US High shool diploma +IB Courses: IELTS 5.5 or 46/100 on the EFSET

-IB diploma / A-level: IELTS 5.5 or 51/100 on the EFSET

Application Deadline

We have a rolling admissions policy, which means that we accept applications throughout the school year. While we don't have a fixed application deadline, we strongly encourage students to apply as soon as possible in order to safeguard their place at EF Academy. Places are granted on a first come, first serve basis to students who pass the application process.
