We know there are plenty of young trailblazers who aspire to be the future leaders of their generation, which is why we have developed our Young Leaders Summer Programme. The course aims to give ambitious and determined students the opportunity to develop skills in the fields of Law, Journalism, Politics, Business Innovation, and International Relations.
In Summer 2020, Young Leaders (16-18 years old) is located at Wadham College, Oxford. The state of the art accommodation and classrooms are brand new for October 2019 and will be available for use by Bucksmore students throughout the summer.
Oxbridge Preparation is a programme for international students, between 16 and 18 years old, wanting to apply to Oxford, Cambridge and Russell Group Universities. New for 2020, Bucksmore will partner with Oxford International College, one of the UK’s top-ranked schools for A-level results and university application success.
The two-week course is designed to prepare students with the best possible chance of successfully applying to the UK’s top universities. The syllabus will focus on the two ‘Oxbridge’ Universities, but will also include aspects relating to applying to the UK’s top 30 institutions. Students will have at least three personal 1-to-1 supervisions with their tutor to ensure their university application is progressing appropriately.
Oxbridge Preparation is hosted in Edmund Hall, Oxford University. Established in 1278, the University of Oxford College is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the world, and boasts the last surviving medieval hall in Oxford. St Edmund Hall is located just off Oxford’s High Street, with the city centre just a 5-minute walk away.
Bucksmore Education offers students the opportunity to study in the United Kingdom, at Magdalene College, Cambridge University in summer. The Cambridge Advanced Studies Program is a cultural and academic summer course for 16 to 19 year olds. Students combine specialist small-group tuition in selected subjects with a full timetable of activities and cultural excursions.
Choose two subjects before arriving, with options ranging from International Business Management to English Poetry and from Calculus to an Introduction to the English Legal System. These are taught in small groups of between one and six students by experts from Cambridge. Students also participate in creative workshops and a weekly Master Class, which introduces them to life skills essential for success in their future education and careers.
Live like a Cambridge University undergraduate degree student for four weeks and meet students from all around the world. The program is an excellent summer opportunity for ambitious students who want to enrich their academic experience and give themselves that extra edge when applying to college.
The Oxford & Cambridge Advanced Studies Program (OASP & CASP) are small group, tutorial-based courses in Oxford and Cambridge for high-level international and American students aged 16-18.
The Advanced Studies Program is a fantastic ‘Oxbridge’ summer school for older students looking for a challenging vacation programme. The tutorial and academic content is closely modelled on the Oxford & Cambridge University teaching system.
Students attend two classes in a maximum group size of 6, choosing from a list of over 20 subjects taught by expert tutors. The full list can be found on our website.
Apart from these tutorials, they will participate in optional workshops and Master Classes as well as choose optional SAT and IELTs preparation modules.
One-to-one supervision is held fortnightly to review the work done in tutorials and to discuss how students can build on what they have learned.
The Oxford & Cambridge Advanced Studies Program is available to international students with an advanced or proficiency level of English as well as to American students wanting to spend a summer in Cambridge or Oxford.
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 16 - 18. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan.
The accommodation at Magdalene consists of single and twin bedrooms with shared bathrooms in separate male and female accommodation block. In addition to an auditorium, a social room and a sports field, there is also a laundry room free of charge. Living and studying in this world-renowned location allows Bucksmore students to experience student life as a Cambridge University undergraduate.
Bucksmore also offers a complimentary airport transfer service to students arriving at Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick airports.
