Programs

ARTS

Situated in various locations across campus you'll find one of U of G's biggest areas of study: the arts. Interdisciplinary and flexible in nature, the arts' strengths are in its world-class innovative programs, co-op options, research, and outreach.

SCIENCE

More than 4,500 students, and 150 faculty call The Summerlee Science Complex home. It is North America's largest integrated science teaching and research facility. This world-class facility houses state-of-the-art teaching, research and computer labs, and a 12,000-sq.ft. atrium. As one of U of G's biggest programs, you will find hubs of science expertise throughout various locations on campus.

BUSINESS (COMMERCE)

Macdonald Hall is home to U of G Business. Built in 1903, it is one of the oldest buildings at the University of Guelph. It was modernized in 2016 and includes multiple student lounges and study rooms, collaborative learning spaces for students to work on group projects, an entire floor dedicated to student clubs, and a state-of-the art classroom for our award winning courses.

COMPUTING

Students in the School of Computing utilize computer labs across campus, primarily in Reynolds Hall and the Engineering Complex (Thornbrough building). The School of Computer Science is undergoing large-scale renovations to create new research and collaborative spaces for our students, due to be complete Summer 2018.

ENGINEERING

The School of Engineering's recent expansion has created space for labs, shop space, design studios and a unique rooftop area for sustainability research. Its centralized location supports its leading-edge programs that focus on design, application, and innovation.
With departments spread out over 1,000 acres, you'll find plenty of green space, a mixture of old and new architecture, and state-of-the-art facilities, all within less than a 10 minute walk of each other.
