Warminster School, formed in 1973 by the amalgamation of Lord Weymouth's Grammar School and St Monica's, is a co-educational independent day and boarding school at Warminster, Wiltshire, England, for students aged three to eighteen. It now comprises the Preparatory School for pupils aged three to eleven, and the Senior School for students aged eleven to eighteen.
Overseas Students
Studying abroad is a daunting prospect, but at Warminster School their overseas pupils are fully integrated to ensure that they become active members of the School community right from the start. They are welcomed into the same boarding houses, the same competitive houses and the same tutor groups as every other pupil in the school.
They embrace pupils from all countries and believe that their school community of 30 different nationalities provides a great opportunity for pupils and staff alike to learn more about the many cultures represented in the School.
In order to cope with the academic and social demands of the School, pupils should be reasonable English speakers. Tuition in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) is provided to all pupils for whom English is not their first language. There is an additional charge for these lessons.
Their aim is to encourage applications from candidates with as diverse a range of backgrounds as possible. This enriches their community and is vital in preparing their pupils for today’s world. Warminster School is committed to equal treatment for all, regardless of a candidate’s race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or social background.
