Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) is a public university in Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom. It is a former higher education institution and specializes in art, design and media. Norwich University of the Arts was founded as Norwich School of Design in 1845 and has a long history of arts education. It gained full university status in 2013.
NUA is the smaller of two universities in Norwich, the other being the University of East Anglia.
Faculties
Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) offers three year undergraduate BA and BSc courses and one year postgraduate MA courses in a range of creative subjects. There are also four year undergraduate degree courses available in select subjects.
Students are required to hold an English language qualification. BA and MA applicants are required to have a minimum IELTS exam score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.
Accommodation
For undergraduates at Norwich University of the Arts, there are two options of university-owned and maintained accommodation.
All Saints Green Halls are newly developed and only ten-minutes’ walk from the NUA campus, while Beechcroft is a bus ride north of the university and offers more traditional student accommodation.
For students wishing to live in private accommodation, the university provides help and support to students renting in the private sector, from a regularly updated list of house and flat shares with other first year students, to advice on housing issues. From September 2019, accommodation for NUA students will be available in the new Crown Place development in the city.
