Founded in London in 1973 by three Cambridge University graduates, the MPW Group is one of the best known and well respected independent college brands in the UK. It comprises three fifth- and sixth-form colleges in London, Mrimingham and Cambridge  providing highly attractive and modern learning environments located in close proximity to prestigious university campuses.

MPW teaches 1,200 students on roll each year, of which approximately two thirds are British, one third international.  An additional 1,500 mostly UK-based students enrol each year on  Easter Revision courses.

Quality assurance within the MPW Group is driven by a common governance model and a common set of principles and operational methods to which each college adheres.

MPW has been welcoming international students for more than 15 years. With around 150 spaces for new international students available each year across the Group, MPW has a vibrant international community that benefits from interacting with the predominantly British student body. This provides an ideal learning environment for our international students to establish the language and cultural skills needed to succeed in the highly competitive world of higher education.

Here at MPW, we believe one size does not fit all. We take great care to understand our students’ needs and adapt our teaching style to help develop their potential both academically and personally. With tailored programmes and small class teaching (guarantee of fewer than 10 students in any class), students benefit from personal attention and extra one-to-one tuition. Tutors are highly qualified to first degree or doctoral level and many are A level or GCSE examiners for the subjects that they teach.  Students are taught in an exam-focused fashion and they are given course notes written by our tutors to help them better prepare for the final examinations.

MPW offers a wide range of courses from comprehensive A Level courses, GCSE courses, University of the Arts London Foundation Diploma in Art and Design to the NCUK International Foundation Year. Admissions

At MPW we believe in making our courses fit the student’s requirements, not the other way round. We offer flexible programmes for GCSE and A level students that are tailor-made to maximise their chances of academic success.

There’s no such thing as a typical MPW student. Boys and girls who do well here are motivated to achieve great results first and foremost but also have the intellectual curiosity and drive to make the most of the excellent facilities on offer.

We are academically non-selective but every student must attend an interview with the Principal or one of our Directors of Studies and GCSE and international students will sit an assessment test. Once a place at MPW has been offered, references will always be requested from their current school or college.
