Leicester International Pathway College (LIPC)

Leicester College was formed from the merger of Charles Keene College and Southfields College on 31 July 1999. Since then, more than 250,000 people have studied with the college. In July 2002, Maggie Galliers was appointed as Principal of Leicester College. In June 2009 she was appointed a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to local and national Further Education.

The College entered the top 25% of colleges nationally, based on success rates, in 2004Leicester College is a further education college in Leicester, England. It is one of the largest colleges in the UK, with more than 26,000 students, 1,600 staff, plus an annual budget of over £50million. It has three main campuses in the city centre, and more than 200 community venues across Leicester.

De Montfort University, in partnership with Oxford International Education Group, offers a range of programmes at Leicester International Pathway College. The College is conveniently located on De Montfort’s university campus and offers full access to all university facilities to students joining the International Foundation Certificate, International First Year and International Incorporated Masters.

Leicester International Pathway College (LIPC) represents the first stage of the bachelor’s or master’s degree programme at DMU (upon graduation from LIPC, students directly progress to the bachelor’s or master’s degree programme at DMU). Thus, LIPC offers International Incorporated Bachelor’s Degrees and International Incorporated Master’s degrees. The small groups and the excellent academic support from the experienced professors ensure the success of the future students to DMU.

LIPC offers various levels of study such as the International Incorporated Bachelor's , International Incorporated Master's and Pre-top up programmes. Within the IIB, there are programmes known as Inetrnational Year Zero and Inetrnational First Year.
