What we do

CAVC International are a dedicated team at Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) who support our international students & partners with outstanding educational opportunities and support in the Capital City of Cardiff.

Academic English for IELTS

This is an Academic English course for European and International learners who want to prepare for an official English language examination. It has been designed to provide you with the study skills and language competencies required for study at Higher Education or employment abroad. 

Full-time Programme:
Full time classes involve 13 hours of class contact time, including an hourly tutorial session with a personal tutor, and an additional conversation class and English skills workshop also available. 

Part-time programmes:
Part time Academic English options are available at 3, 6 or 9 hours per week. 

General English for International Students

This course is intended for students that want to improve their general English. We offer programmes to support a range of English language levels, from beginner to higher intermediate (CEFR A1-B2). Each course covers the four key language skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening, as well as grammar, vocabulary and cultural aspects of the language. You will not only develop your proficiency in the English language, but also your confidence to communicate and use English in the real world.
