BPP University

BPP is a private university in the United Kingdom; owned and run by BPP Holdings, part of the US-based for-profit education company Apollo Education Group.

In September 2007, BPP University made history by becoming the first publicly owned company in the UK to obtain degree awarding powers.

This process involved making a detailed application to the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education in the United Kingdom, which acted on behalf of the Office for Students. BPP University’s unique approach is education that is academically rigorous but also grounded in practical application that is highly relevant to our students, stakeholders and industry.

In 2020, BPP University was granted indefinite taught degree awarding powers (TDAP) under the Office for Students (OfS) new regulatory framework. The award of indefinite TDAP, which came into force on 1st September 2020 acknowledges the University’s academic integrity as a mature higher education institution with rigorous standards and academic governance.

It has around 15,000 students, studying across 13 centers, in eight locations across England and online around the world. 70% are full-time, over 84% are on postgraduate programs.

Applications are accepted from applicants over 18 years old, the training lasts three years.

Accommodation

In the university dormitory, students are provided with separate rooms. Each has a separate kitchen and bathroom next to each.

The student chooses an apartment depending on personal preferences: to live alone or with neighbors, pay for luxury housing or rent an apartment with minimal comfortable conditions.

For short-term accommodation (language program or courses), students are accommodated in hotels and special hostels.

Homestay is also very popular, despite the fact that all university students are adults and independent people. Family life allows you to feel British hospitality and home comfort, to actively practice the language. Each host family is regularly checked by the authorized authorities.
