Viewed: 1565

Nowadays, almost every graduate dreams of studying abroad. But along with that dream, the internet is full of strange rumors that can scare students away. Let’s bust the most popular myths together!

1. “Studying abroad is too expensive!”

Not true! This is the most common myth. In many European countries such as Italy, Hungary, Germany, and Finland, education is free or scholarship-based. In fact, many students receive monthly grants that cover living expenses!

2. “You can’t study abroad without IELTS!”

Some universities require IELTS, but you can also submit TOEFL or Duolingo English Test certificates instead.

3. “Students struggle with food and can’t afford to eat”

Absolutely false! There are special student cafeterias, affordable restaurants, and even places where you can find your national cuisine. For example, in Poland, a meal can cost just 3–4 euros, and in Italy, students get discounts almost everywhere!

4. “It’s hard to find accommodation”

Not really — most universities have their own dormitories or partner housing options. Many scholarships even cover rent costs!

5. “Only rich people can study abroad”

That’s the biggest misconception. Today, hundreds of Uzbek students study abroad for free through programs like DSU, Erasmus+, and Stipendium Hungaricum. If you have a dream, there’s always an opportunity to make it real!
